 Chris Murlin has been working as an administrative assistant for investment advisers at the Beavercreek, Ohio office of Smith, Griesmeyer & Moses, LLC, (SGM), an independently owned financial services firm specializing in financial and estate planning.

Chris has been at SGM since 1997 and performs a variety of administrative duties that include:

  • Processing new accounts and account servicing,
  • Processing paperwork and checks,
  • Scheduling appointments,
  • Ordering prospectuses (keeping them current and in good order),
  • Handling telephone duties,
  • Maintaining client files, and
  • Serving clients’ needs.

At SGM, we believe, she is known for her attention to detail, high level of professionalism, loyalty, and trust.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Michael Cozad is a junior at Wright State University dual-majoring in Financial Services and Marketing. He is a former intern and current planning assistant of David A. Smith, CFP®.  

 Michael has been working in the financial planning industry since 2007. Michael:

  • Helps perform research for advisors
  • Provides administrative support for the creation of financial plans
  • Services clients' needs
  • Develops and carries out SGM marketing iniatives

Michael has taken the initiative to plan and recommend several programs that streamline systems and processes at SGM to continuously improve client service and communication.

Experience: Michael started as an intern at SGM in October of 2007. He works directly under SGM partner David A. Smith and joined the firm permanently part-time in 2008 as his assistant.

Credentials: Michael intends on obtaining his Series 7 registration in the near future, which will allow him to trade securities. Michael anticipates receiving his bachelor of science in business degree in 2011 from Wright State University in Ohio, where he is dual-majoring in Financial Services and Marketing. This financial services degree program is registered with the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners (IBCFP). After graduation, he plans to continue his education and obtain his Certified Financial Planner™ designation.
